Smart Mail DNS (Domain) Settings

When you use the Smart Mail Email Hosting service, you must ensure that your domain points to our servers.

Unless we have specifically provided you with custom settings, please use the settings below.

DNS Changes

You will need to make changes to your DNS zone file to ensure that your emails are directed to your account correctly.

Your domain Name Server which are usually found in your domain registrar account will point to the zone file.

Your zone file could be managed by any one of the following:

  • Your domain registrar
  • Your web host
  • A DNS hosting service

Smart Mail will host your DNS at no charge if requested.

DNS Settings

MX Records

Mail Server 1:

Preference: 0

TTL: 7200

Mail Server 2:

Preference: 10

TTL: 7200

TXT Records

Name: [blank]

Value: v=spf1 mx a ip4: ~all

TTL: 3600

CNAME Records

Hostname: webmail

Aliases To:

TTL: 14400

We also use DKIM in our DNS setup, but please contact Smart Mail support if you want to setthis up yourself,
